Redbird football drops four spots in national polls

After losing for the first time at home in nearly four years, Illinois State dropped from No. 5 to No. 9 in this week's STATS FCS Poll

ISU finished non-conference play with a 24-21 loss to Eastern Illinois. EIU entered the poll for the first time this season at No. 18.

Other Missouri Valley Football Conference schools include No. 1 North Dakota State, No. 13 Western Illinois, No. 14 Northern Iowa, No. 15 South Dakota State and No. 16 Youngstown State.

Spack bans media, public from practice 

For the first time in his eight-year tenure, ISU coach Brock Spack has closed all practices this week to the media and public.
