The Illinois State women’s basketball program finalized its roster for the upcoming 2017-18 season with the signing of Paige Saylor, the team announced Thursday afternoon.

Saylor played four years of varsity basketball at Roncalli High School in Indianapolis. The 5-foot-5 guard earned numerous accolades throughout her prep career and averaged 13.3 points, 5.9 assists and 4.0 steals as a senior.

The Martinsville, Indiana native is known for her acute passing instincts, setting a school record at Roncalli High in career assists while becoming the first in program history to garner over 400 assists and 300 steals.

"We are thrilled to add Paige as our final piece for the upcoming season," ISU head coach Kristen Gillespie said. "She is a dynamic point guard who is a fearless competitor and is the epitome of a floor general."

Saylor also earned high school state titles in track and field in the long jump event. She is joined by Ajai Simmons and Simone Goods as the incoming recruiting class.
