After being selected by the Miami Marlins in the 24 round with the 711 overall selection, right handed pitcher Jeff Lindgren has announced via his twitter that he has signed a contract with the Marlins. 

The graduated senior was one of five Redbirds drafted in the 2019 MLB draft and the only senior drafted. 

Lindgren saw time in all four season's at ISU. This season he started 14 games, while coming out of the bullpen five times. Despite mainly starting this year, Lindgren saw himself mainly in relief roles in previous years. Making 64 relief appearances to only three starts from his freshman to junior year.

In 19 games Lindgren finished with a 5.96 earned run average, allowing 25 walks and 69 strikeouts.
