Recently drafted Joe Aeilts’ strong start to his professional career earns him a place on the Northwest League All-Star roster.

Building on his breakout junior season, former Redbird Aeilts was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 14 round with the 429 overall picks. Assigned to the Boise Hawks, the Rockies short A team, he has kept up his hot hitting. Holding a slash line of .333/.391/.444 with one home run and nine RBIs.

In those 34 games, Aeilts has failed to record a hit in nine of those contest and failed to reach base in just five games.

His .331 batting mark puts him in fourth in average amongst Northwest League hitters.

Hosted Hawks, Aeilts is part of a group of players set to replace all-stars that are unable to play due to promotion or injury. He joins five of his teammates for the August 6 showcase.
