ISU captures share of MVFC championship, beats SIU 44-29

Former Redbird football player Cameron Meredith shows signs of improvement in his football career as he is catching footballs for the Chicago Bears.

This past Sunday, Meredith had a sensational performance at the Bears’ 29-23 defeat to the Indianapolis Colts catching a career-high nine passes for 130 yards and his first touchdown in his NFL career.

After the Berwyn, Ill., native signed with the Bears as an undrafted free agent last year, he caught 11 passes for 120 yards and no touchdowns. Meredith got his big chance at the Indianapolis game as he replaced first-string wide receiver Kevin White, who fractured his fibula in his left leg this season. Bears 2015 first-round pick White will be out for an extended period of time.

The Bears will be competing against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Soldier Field this Sunday at noon.
