It has been a year to remember for Illinois State University senior golfer David Perkins. Just a couple weeks after earning his first medalist award of his brilliant ISU career, Perkins was named the Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week for the second time this season.

Perkins led the way for the Redbirds in the Bearcat Invitational in Cincinnati this week, finishing 11 shots under par. He finished third out of 75 golfers in the tournament.

This is the ninth time Perkins has won the award in his career. This season, Perkins has a 68.6 average per tournament, and has not finished over par at all this year.
