Results: ISU 3, MSU 2

Highlights: To keep the winning streak alive, the Illinois State volleyball team had to fight hard and work their way out of a 0-2 deficit against Missouri State. After five sets, Emily Orrick registered a career-high and Redbird Arena-record 42 digs, while Sierra Burris added a career-best 21 digs, and Jaelyn Keene matched a career high with 15 kills in the match.

Results: ISU 3, WSU 0

Highlights: In the final regular season match, ISU took down Wichita State and finished with an undefeated 18-0 this season. The Redbirds beat Wichita State in the regular-season finale by scores of 25-15, 27-25, 25-21.

Opponent: Missouri State

Results: ISU 3, MSU 2

Highlights: The ISU volleyball team emerged victorious after five sets against MSU in the semifinals of the MVC conference tournament. The win tied the longest winning streak for ISU, moving the mark to 21 in a row.

Date: Nov. 29

Opponent: Northern Iowa

Results: ISU 3, UNI 1

Highlights: The Illinois State volleyball team won its first conference tournament since 1997 with the win over UNI on Saturday and also sealed their spot in the NCAA Tournament. Illinois State’s Ashley Rosch was named the tournament’s MVP and Emily Orrick and Jaelyn Keene also earned all-tournament team honors.

Soccer

Date: Nov. 21

Opponent: Pepperdine

Results: Pepperdine 4, ISU 0

Highlights: The historic season for women’s soccer came to an end in Los Angeles when the ’Birds lost to Pepperdine in the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive year. The Redbirds end a season that had a program-best 16 wins and just 6 losses.
