Sophomore defender Alyssa Siebers’ first career goal lifted the Illinois State University Redbirds over Valparaiso’s Crusaders on Saturday.
The 1-0 win puts ISU at 10-4 and drops Valpo to 0-12-1.
This extended ISU’s win streak to eight games and added another shutout to the team’s campaign.
Redbird senior goalkeeper Haley Smith tied the program record for career shutouts with 23.
ISU returns to action 6 p.m. Oct. 16 in an away game against Indiana State.
