The Illinois State gymnastics team competed in two events this weekend, earning second place in a tri-meet at Iowa State Friday and defeating UW-La Crosse Sunday at Horton Field House.

It was the first time of the season the Redbirds competed twice in a weekend. But, it did not show, as ISU turned in impressive scores of 192.700 and 193.500.

Meredith LaRoche led the team, winning the all-around competition Sunday for the second time in three events.
