ISU senior goalkeeper Haley Smith.

It has been a season to remember for Illinois State University senior goalkeeper Haley Smith. After collecting her ninth shutout of the season in a 1-0 win over Drake on Nov. 1 to conclude the regular season, Smith notched her fourth Missouri Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week award of the season Nov. 4.

Smith is one of just three ISU soccer athletes to win the award four times in a season, as Becky Feldman (1997-2000) and Abby Van Deventer (2012-2015) also completed the feat.

Smith and the Redbirds will return to action Nov. 8, where they will take on Missouri State in the semifinals of the MVC Tournament in Springfield, Missouri.
