Illinois State defeats the Eastern Michigan Eagles 1-0 on Sunday at Adelaide Street Field. The Redbirds return to action with seven straight road games, starting with two games against Oklahoma and Tulsa this weekend.

The Illinois State women's soccer team suffered a loss against the Miami Redhawks Friday night, as it struggled to find a rhythm, losing 1-0.

ISU finished the first half with only one shot on goal, coming from sophomore forward, Natalie Vaughn-Lowe. Total shots on goal were in favor of the Redhawks, 6-1.

Freshman defender Chloe Masys scored the game-deciding game at 77:00 minutes, with an assist from freshman Jordan King.

Redbirds were outshot by the Redhawks, 15-6. With the addition of five more saves on the day, Hayley Smith now has a total of 28 saves this season.

The team will shake this loss off and move onto University of Illinois at Chicago on September 2.
