The annual Brews at the Zoo, hosted by The Miller Park Zoological Society, is returning to Miller Park Zoo this June.
From 3 to 8 p.m. June 24, Brews at the Zoo will offer individuals 21 and over the opportunity to sample craft beer and eat local food from Bloomington-Normal restaurants in the atmosphere of the zoo’s animals.
Music, a wine booth and zookeeper talks will be offered as well.
Paula Pratt, development director for The Miller Park Zoological Society, expressed her excitement for the annual event.
“Brews at the Zoo brings new visitors to the zoo, and we are especially excited this year to introduce new animals and new animal habitats to our guests,” Pratt said in a press release.
“Offering the region’s best craft beers, raising funds for the zoo and having fun makes this an event one not to miss this summer,” Pratt continued.
Fourteen local and regional breweries will be participating in Brews at the Zoo.
These include Engrained Brewing Company, Triptych, Casper Brewing Company, Analytical Brewing, Door 4 Brewing Co., Unpossible Mead, 3 Floyds Brewing, DESTIHL Brewery, Emancipation Brewing Co., Keg Grove Brewing Company, Lil Beaver Brewery, Limerick Brewing Company, Tree Hive and White Oak Brewing.
Attendees can purchase tickets online or through Eventbrite.
Proceeds from the event will go toward construction for new exhibits in Miller Park Zoo’s South America region.
For more information, individuals can contact Pratt at (309) 434-2243.
