Rader Family Farms is one of the many places community members can visit this weekend. Rader Family Farms is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Wednesday through Sunday.  

Looking for something spooky to do this weekend? Check out these five events in the Bloomington-Normal area:

"Not So Scary" Haunted Trail

There will be a haunted trail on Saturday from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Constitution Trail between Vernon Avenue and the Connie Link Amphitheater.

Free parking is available at Normal Parks and Recreation located at 100 E. Phoenix Avenue and at Chiddix Junior High. Shuttles will be available at the end of the trail to return guests to their vehicles.

Tickets are $3 per person and do not need to be purchased beforehand. During the Not So Scary Weekend, those who bring a canned food item to donate will receive free admission.

Miller Park Zoo Spooktacular

The Miller Park Zoo is hosting two events for those to show off their Halloween costumes, enjoy crafts, see local vendors, experience up-close animal encounters, get face paintings and more.

The Spooktacular Night event will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The zoo will be decorated with light up Halloween decorations for all to see. This is open to all ages and will be $3 for members and $8 for non-members.

The Spooktacular Day event will be from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday. This is a non-scary event featuring activities, crafts and vendors. This will be free with zoo admission.

Trunk or Treat at The Next Step Dance Studio

The Next Step Dance Studio is hosting a free Trunk or Treat Party for families to enjoy treats, a bounce house, music, games and a costume contest.

This event will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Next Step Dance Studio located at 1 Auto Row Drive #400 in Bloomington.

Dress Up Movie Night

The Normal Theater will be playing the movie “Frankenweenie” at 1 p.m. on Saturday. This is an opportunity to come dressed as your favorite movie character, bring your favorite movie prop and enjoy concession stands. The concession stands are cash only, but feel free to bring your own snacks or drinks. Alcohol is not permitted.

Admission is free and the doors will open at 12:30 p.m. at the Normal Theater located at 209 North St. in Uptown Normal.

Rader Family Farms

Rader Family Farms has apple blasters/slingshots, jumping pillow, duck races, chalk truck, funnel ball and other fall activities throughout the weekend for all ages.

Rader Family Farms is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Wednesday through Sunday. The apple blasters/slingshots open at 3 p.m. and are closed on weekends.

They also have a pumpkin patch and corn maze for families to visit.
