Miller Park Zoo is located on 1020 S. Morris Ave. in Bloomington.

The Miller Park Zoo will be hosting its eighth annual Wild Lights at the Zoo event from 5 to 8 p.m. throughout the first two weekends of December, specifically Dec. 3, 4, 10 and 11.

Sponsored by T-Mobile, Wild Lights will include hundreds of luminaries around the entire zoo, and activities for children. Activities include visiting Santa and Mrs. Claus, face painting by the Zoo Lady Crew, free carousel rides, local vendors and concessions for purchase.

Miller Park Zoo superintendent Jay Tetzloff said he is excited for Wild Lights to continue as a two-weekend event.

“Seeing the zoo at night with all the decorations is always a great start to the holiday season,” Tetzloff said.

Tickets are $8 for individuals ages 3 and up and $3 for MPZ Society members. There is no cost for children under age 3.

Attendees can purchase tickets in advance by calling the Miller Park Zoo at (309) 434-2250 or visiting the ZOO-tique gift shop.

Wild Lights will be hosted at the Miller Park Zoo at 1020 S. Morris Ave. in Bloomington.
