Illinois State University announced 14 students as the Robert G. Bone Scholars for the 2022-2023 academic year.
The Bone Scholarship is the highest university-wide award that undergraduate students can receive.
Bone Scholars are selected through a campus-wide competition based on their scholarly achievements, engagement and leadership activities as well as several essays and letters of recommendation.
The scholarship is named in honor of former university president Robert G. Bone from 1956-1957 and consists of a monetary award of $3,300.
Recipients will be introduced during a luncheon on Oct. 1 and featured in a display at the Bone Student Center.
The mean grade point average of this year’s recipients is 3.98 on a 4.0 scale. They are listed as followed:

- Daniela Grgas from Bloomington and Henderson, Nevada
- LT Hodges from Mahomet
- Kate Kostrub from Champaign

- Emma Martin from Lombard
- Rachel Patterson from Waterloo
- William Restis from Richmond
- Naomi Satoh from Schaumburg
- Michael Severino from Lombard
- Kirsten Townander from Libertyville
