Logan Calvin throws shot put during the 2022 Track and Field NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon. Calvin finished in sixth with a throw of 19.83 meters, earning himself First Team All-American honors. 

EUGENE, Ore. — Illinois State senior thrower Logan Calvin continued his dominant season, taking home First Team All-American honors at the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships Wednesday, just the second Redbird to ever receive the honor in shot put. 

Out of six throws on the day, Calvin's best was a 19.83-meter throw on his second attempt, good for sixth in the event and the highest finish in shot put in school history at the NCAA Championships.
