Illinois State's Parker Wisdom tees off during the first day of the Bath Regional in Bath, Michigan. Wisdom and the Redbirds' finished tied for 10th out of 13 teams in the regional.

BATH, Mich. — Despite a strong final round, Illinois State men's golf tied for 10th out of 13 teams with a score of 869 at the NCAA Tournament's Bath Regional as the Redbirds' season came to an end.

Georgia won the regional by eight strokes followed by Illinois, Oregon, Florida and Texas — all of which will advance in the NCAA Tournament.

The Redbirds struggled to keep up on the first day of the tournament as their first-round score of 288 found them in 12th place.

Felix van Dijk and Parker Wisdom each opened with a two-under-par 69 in the first round of the tournament while Valentin Peugnet and Pietro Pontiggia each shot a 75.

ISU maintained its 12th-place spot after round two of the tournament with a score of 296 on the second day.

No Redbird managed to shoot par or better in the round as Pontiggia's 72 was ISU's best individual score of the day.

van Dijk followed that up with a two-over-par 73 to move to even par through two rounds while Wisdom slipped up with a second-round score of 82.

The Redbirds put together their best round of the tournament on the final day as they shot one over par as a team to move into a tie for tenth.

Wisdom bounced back from his rocky day-two performance as he shot his second two-under par 69 of the tournament to finish tied for 54th individually.

van Dijk led all Redbirds with a three-round score of 216 to finish in a tie for 35th.

Peugent and Pontiggia shot 72 and 75, respectively, in the final round to finish in a tie for 60th in the field.
