The Illinois State track and field teams announced their indoor and outdoor schedule which sees them competing in 24 meets and hosting the Missouri Valley Conference 2023 Outdoor Championships.
The Redbirds will start their winter period Dec. 3 where they will host the John Coughlan Invite at the Horton Field House in Normal, Illinois. ISU will follow that up by participating in the Blue Demon Holiday Invitational Dec. 9 in Chicago.
The MVC indoor season will culminate in the MVC Championship Feb. 26 and 27, once again in Chicago. ISU student-athletes that qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships will be invited to Albuquerque, New Mexico, to compete March 10 and 11.
Less than two weeks later will mark the start of the Redbirds' outdoor season with their first meet on March 24 and 25 in Charleston, Illinois, for the Big Blue Classic.
ISU will then host the outdoor MVC Championships on May 12 and 14 with the Redbird women looking to win their fifth-consecutive outdoor title.
Those who meet the standards will participate in the NCAA West Preliminary Round May 24 through 27 to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships June 7 through 10.
