Illinois State's Paige Robinson gets past Wisconsin's Avery LaBarbera during the Redbirds' 62-57 win over Wisconsin Sunday. Robinson was named MVC Player of the Week after ISU's 2-0 week.

Illinois State women's basketball's Paige Robinson was named Missouri Valley Conference Player and Newcomer of the Week following the Redbirds' wins over St. Thomas and Wisconsin this past week.

Robinson is the first Redbird to earn MVC Player of the Week since DeAnna Wilson earned the final honor of the 2021-22 season.

Over the two games, Robinson averaged 30 points, four rebounds and 2.5 assists. She was also very efficient with a 65.6% clip from the field and 66.6% clip from three.

In the Redbirds' most recent win over Wisconsin, the transfer from Drury tied her career high with 37 points while shooting 14-19 from the field and 7-7 from deep.

Robinson is the third player since the data was first tracked in 2009-10 to record 37 or more points on a perfect 7-7 shooting from three.
