The Missouri Valley Conference women's basketball schedule was released Wednesday with game times and coverage to be determined.

The Redbirds will play in 18 conference games, starting with rival Bradley on New Year’s Day at Redbird Arena.

Following the conference home opener, the Redbirds will take to the road to go up against Indiana State on Jan. 7 and Evansville on Jan. 9.

Illinois State will return home for a two-game stand against Valparaiso and Loyola-Chicago on Jan. 13 and 15, respectively.

Another two away games will be played against Southern Illinois and Missouri State, before returning to Redbird Arena to face off against the University of Northern Iowa and Drake to finish off the January schedule.

To kick off February, the Redbirds will have home rematches with Evansville and Indiana State. They will then travel to Loyola-Chicago to take on the Ramblers before heading to Valparaiso to take on the Crusaders.

Illinois State will have its final homestand on Feb. 18 and 20 against Missouri State and Southern Illinois. The team will finish off their regular season play with a three-game road trip against Drake, UNI and Bradley.

The Redbirds will travel to the Quad Cities for the MVC Hoops of the Heartland Tournament from March 10-13.
